Current Research
Developing novel liposomal contrast agents for optical and photoacoustic imaging. Non-invasively imaging and assessing cancer vasculature in response to anti-angiogenic treatments. Imaging and delivering contrast agents and drugs across the blood-brain-barrier. Noah is developing a technique for liposomal encapsulation and formation of indocyanine green j-aggregates. These particles offer great imaging depth using near infrared light and have a wide array of uses in cancer imaging. Using focused ultrasound techniques they may be uniquely useful for transcranial photoacoustic imaging of brain cancers and neurological diseases.
Academic and professional background
Noah graduated from the University of Virginia in 2020 with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. He joined the Biomedical Engineering PhD program at the University of Texas at Austin in the Summer of 2020 as an NIH T32 Imaging Science Fellow.
